How to find IP address of Ubuntu 18.04.2 Desktop

Ubuntu 18.04.2 Desktop version has Network manager, a GUI for configuration of Network connections. To access it, Click on the network icon / down arrow in the top right corner of desktop. Under Wired Connection, expand and  select Wired Settings Click the gear icon (next to ON button) under Wired. Under Details Tab, IPv4 Address is displayed.  To make further configurations, click IPv4 tab and proceed. Use DNS IP Addresses when you have poor net connectivity..

If your computer cannot open certain websites through any browser, or you are stuck up by slow net connection which delayed loading time of websites, you can opt for other DNS Servers which will boost up your net speed and enhance your browsing experience.. Way to handle slow net connection - Opera Turbo

Normally, some websites will not open on slow net connections.. eg., yahoo websites which are over SSL often get into this.. i became frustrated with yahoo and my bsnl broadband until i came across this marvellous piece of information in one of the technical forums.. i just wanted to share it so that it might help anyone who needs this.. You can go for Opera- Turbo Browser available at http://www.opera.com/ . The distinguishable feature is Opera - Turbo option. How to Enable Opera Turbo Option: 1. Click on the Opera Turbo Button on the status bar - Bottom left side. 2. Click 'Enable Opera Turbo' and The Opera Turbo button turns green, indicating that it is enabled. Thats all, you are on Opera- Turbo activated option.. Enjoy browsing even in slow net connection.. Whenever browser encounters fast net connection, it automatically turns off 'Turbo' option..
